About this place

Chilton’s Antiques & Jewellery is an antique jewellery shop run by Liz Stevens, who first walked in at 16 on work experience and later came to own it. She is a gemmologist and a registered valuer, and the shop buys its own stock in the UK and France every year.

The stock runs from Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco pieces through to estate and new jewellery, from rings and lockets to brooches and bangles, along with Liz’s own antique-inspired By Liz designs. In the workshop, a team of jewellers handles repairs, laser work and engraving, and draws up custom pieces in 3D CAD. Valuations for insurance, probate or estate division are done on site and come with a formal certificate. The shop also buys old jewellery, gold, coins and watches. It’s worth calling ahead before you visit.
