About this place
Doug Grimson Visionworks is an independent optometry practice next to Aldi. It is owned by optometrist Doug Grimson, who grew up in Sylvania, and he works alongside optometrist Emilie Ross, who is also a clinical supervisor at UNSW. Both are therapeutically endorsed.
Beyond the specialty lenses, the services list takes in children’s vision, glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataract assessments, diabetic eyecare, dry eye management and low vision assessments. On the dispensing side are Bronwyn and Anna, both qualified optical dispensers, and contact lenses are sold in store and through an online shop that carries Biofinity, MyDay and Acuvue Oasys, among others. The practice sponsors the Engadine Dragons Cricket Club and the Heathcote Waratah Netball Club.
