About this place
One Mama Midwife teaches from its studio, where the business also has its head office. It was founded by Lauren Brenton, an endorsed midwife, and Caringbah is where it began; the midwives teaching here also work in birth units.
The antenatal class covers labour preparation, inductions, caesareans, interventions, advocacy, postpartum and baby care, feeding and sleep. Caesarean classes that start at 11am join the antenatal day for the part on caesareans, rather than running separately. Any of the classes can be held privately in your own home instead. Classes are booked through the website, with a waitlist for dates that fill up. There is also space for hire for your own classes or workshops, plus a clinic room.
