About this place
500 Degrees is a steakhouse where the steaks, ribs and chicken are cooked in the manner of a South African braai. It’s owned by Nadim and Ari, chefs who started 500 Degrees in 2016; there are also 500 Degrees restaurants in Kogarah and Parramatta.
The steak list takes in Margaret River sirloin, Darling Downs eye fillet, Rangers Valley wagyu rump, a Cape Grim tomahawk and an eye fillet wrapped in 24-carat gold. Ribs are Angus beef, Northern Rivers pork or Clover Valley lamb, chargrilled with a secret basting. There’s hot-stone wagyu to grill yourself at the table, Rockefeller and Millionaire oysters, whole baby barramundi, pumpkin and cauliflower steaks for vegetarians, and a kids menu. Tables can be booked through the website.
