About this place

ALMO Pizza is a neighbourhood restaurant whose Eastern European side comes out of two upbringings and the family tables behind them, Baba’s included, and shows in a Shopska salad on the share list beside the bruschetta.

Pizzas run from triple cheese and pepperoni to mortadella with hot honey, or Royal Blue potatoes with confit garlic. The pasta list takes in truffle gnocchi, a beef cheek lasagnetta and king prawn and squid ink spaghetti, and dessert might be a Biscoff tiramisu or a chocolate calzone. It’s licensed, pouring spritzes, Australian wines and Wayward beers from Marrickville, and there’s a kids menu. Tables are booked online, and orders can be placed ahead for pickup.
