We didn't
ask first.
Alphabet St — Cronulla
This is the page we put up for Alphabet St. We built it from public information and we didn't ask you first — that's back-to-front, and this is where you get a say in it.
Four things are needed: whether we've got it right, your name, an email to write back to, and one tick. Everything else on this page is optional, and you can close the tab without answering any of it — the page stays as it is either way.
Why you're on Shiremade
Shiremade is made by a small studio here in the Shire. Johnny is the person who reads this form and the person who writes back. We started the directory because we kept meeting people doing good work with no decent way to be found, and we put your page up from what's already on the public record.
Being listed is free, and always will be — it isn't a trial, and nobody gets bumped for not being a client. We build websites for a living, so some of the owners we meet this way end up hiring us. Most don't, and that's fine. That's the whole arrangement.
What happens to what you send
Johnny reads it and replies by hand. Nothing on your page changes until he's made the change himself — there's no automatic publishing.
Photos you send stay yours. We run them with a credit, and we take them down if you ever ask. We don't use photos from your Google profile, because those belong to whoever took them.
Customer quotes go on your page word for word, under the name you give us, with a line saying you chose them. We don't copy reviews from Google for the same reason we don't copy the photos. If you or the customer ever wants a quote taken down, it comes down.
We keep what you write as our record that you got in touch and what you asked for, along with which listing it's about, when you sent it and which of our pages you sent it from. We don't record your IP address, your location or your browser. If you'd rather we deleted it, say so — we delete what you wrote and keep a single line noting that a record was deleted and when, because otherwise we'd have no way to know we'd ever spoken.
What you send is emailed to Johnny through Brevo, the service we use to send it. It isn't added to any contact list or mailing list, and it doesn't sign you up to anything. Ask us to delete it and we will — more in the terms.
Rather not be listed? Take the page down. You don't owe us a reason, and there's nothing here to fill in twice.
